The Role
We have an immediate need for an Urban Planner / Environmental Town Planner with 2+ years of mobile deployment experience within the telecommunications industry. You will be responsible for:
- Identifying suitable mobile deployment sites and acquiring the necessary planning approvals
- Preparing development assessment applications for telecommunications and related infrastructure
- Managing greenfield wireless testing sites
- Liaising with stakeholders, including state and local government authorities, politicians and the community
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary project team
About You
To be successful, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- 2+ years of mobile deployment experience within the telecommunications industry
- Experience managing and delivering development proposals through local consent processes within VIC
- Comfortable liaising with both Catalyst clients and various levels of state / local government
- Understanding of the Telecommunication Act, Low Impact (Facilities) Determination, Telecommunications Code of Practice and the Deployment Code
- Strong project management skills with the ability to set, monitor and maintain delivery targets
- Ability to adhere closely to pre-defined regulatory and administrative processes
- Open and collaborative communication style
- Positive approach to problem solving
- Results orientated
