Our Client is a successful & innovative developer setting new liveable housing trends on a range of award winning national projects. Due to continued success & product growth requirements, they are offering a full-time position for an experienced residential draftsperson to join their creative team in inner-city Brisbane.

The Role
 

• Produce all drawings and plans using ArchiCAD software, while ensuring these meet the set quality, quantity and time targets
• Ensure procedures & checklists are developed and used for the drafting function to maintain full compliance with company standards
• Resolve complications with design proposals by providing efficient and timely solutions
• Must be competent and knowledgeable with all software, IT systems, products, policies and procedures used in drafting. Ideally be proficient with ArchiCAD software or similar packages.
• Collate information relating to errors & inconsistencies in master drawings to provide feedback on the accuracy presented when liaising with the estimating manager; and
• Ensure that the relationships with all internal departments, external customers, suppliers, agents and contractors are maintained and improved.

 
The successful candidate will have:
 

• A passion for innovative residential design
• A fun outgoing and friendly disposition
• Formal qualifications in Architectural Drafting
• Drafting experience, preferably within the residential building industry
• A strong understanding of the residential home building and construction process
• The ability to support a cohesive team, while being able to provide professional and constructive feedback to customers and staff/peers when required
• The ability to communicate professionally to all stakeholders, and complete tasks with a high quality and within their set deadlines
• Implement a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
