Two Year Fixed Term Contract ($95,000 - $105,000)
The Town of Cottesloe is seeking a committed, highly skilled and qualified Coordinator Strategic Planning to join our Planning team. This two year contract role is responsible for the coordination, support and facilitation of high quality strategic planning services, programs and projects which provide a sound framework for appropriate land use and development in the Town of Cottesloe.
The successful applicant must hold a recognised tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Studies (or equivalent) and must be able to demonstrate significant relevant experience within the Planning field, particularly in policy formulation and implementation, rezoning and Local Planning Schemes. To be considered for this position you must also hold a valid c-class driver’s licence. Experience in statutory planning is desirable.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will play a significant role contributing to the success of the planning team at the Town of Cottesloe. You will draw on your project management skills to ensure key objectives of the team are being met, provide strategic planning advice, process strategic planning applications and coordinate the development of strategic plans. This fixed term, full time position is offered subject to the satisfactory completion of a 3 month probationary period. The Town of Cottesloe reserves the right to extend this probation as necessary.
