An immediate opportunity has become available for an experienced Landscape Architect to join a busy council located in Footscray.

The Role:

As the landscape architect, you will be assisting on the delivery of a range of capital works projects focusing predominately in the architecture aspect, you will be required to:

• Prepare schematic designs, concept plans and contract documentation
• Manage, coordinate and supervise the construction of capital works project
• Provide expert advice, review and assessment in relation to major planning application
• Coordinate and conduct community consultation via different media
• Review business cases and involve in strategic planning for future projects

The Person:

In order to be considered for landscape architect, you are required to have:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Landscape Architecture
• Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate experience as a landscape architect
• Demonstrated experience in design, delivery and project management of high-profile and complex public projects
• Understanding of local government process, procedure and legislation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill and able to liaise with key stakeholders
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other design software packages
