The Position
Our client is based in our Burleigh Heads Office, and you will be reporting to the Inventory and Production Manager. You will be part of a tight knit team who values attention to detail, open communication and excellent organisation skills. You will be working on an assortment of products for adults and children including clothing and a vast selection of accessories. The role is fast paced and often challenging as they regularly add new product categories to their various brands.
You will be responsible for:
- Coordinating production & scheduling across the two brands to meet timelines and ensure delivery dates are achieved.
- Investigating production procedures and sourcing new offshore suppliers for new product categories
- Liaising between the in-house design team and offshore suppliers to understand supplier or product limitations
- Quality control across all products
- Managing costing’s and price negotiations with suppliers based on agreed target prices and set margins.
- Placing and monitoring Purchase Orders with suppliers to ensure shipping dates are met
About You
To be successful you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar role working with clothing and accessories
- A thorough understanding of garment construction, fabrics and production processes
- Experience working with offshore suppliers
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
- Advanced computer skills, including Excel
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- To be able to travel globally. i.e. China
- The ability to multitask and work on a broad range of products categories
- Enjoy a fast paced role, and have the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
- To be able to think logically and problem solve development and production issues
