ABOUT THE COMPANY.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Local Council in the Inner Western suburbs of Sydney for a Assessment Planner to join a supportive team of 7. Play an essential role in providing technical advice on various planning matters within this friendly team environment.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As an Assessment Planner, you will be assessing Development Applications, providing technical advice and preparing reports on planning matters. You will assist with various projects ranging in complexity such as mixed-use, heritage, and industrial projects.
DUTIES.
- Assess DAs
- Provide technical and specialist advice
- Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders
- Manage and respond to written and verbal requests for advice
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or related
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a similar role within a Local Government Agency
- Knowledge of relevant planning legislation and regulations
