Junior Industrial Designer - Full time
We design and manufacture retail Point of Sale displays that promote products from a wide range of industries. We provide innovative retail solutions that help build brand awareness, drive traffic and increase sales at store level.
We are a close knit team and are currently looking to fill the position of Junior Industrial Designer.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Take and interpret design briefs
- Create realistic POS designs that can be manufactured
- Liaise and communicate with various local and overseas manufacturers and suppliers.
- Conduct QC, prototype and production reviews, ensuring our high quality standards are maintained
- Generate Production drawings for manufacture.
Skills and experience
We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and creative Industrial Designer who is a team player. In addition to your tertiary design qualification you will have;
- Some experience in design for manufacture with an understanding of associated costs
- Proficiency in Solidworks is essential
- Proficient in Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for artwork modification and concept presentations
- Some experience with 3D Rendering
- Experience in detailed design and creation of documentation for production
- Understanding of manufacturing techniques including sheet metal, timber fabrication, acrylic and print
- Previous work experience within POS design/manufacturing environments would be ideal but is not essential.
- Effective communication.
