The Locale Group (e 2005) is a multi-brand designer fashion business responsible for iconic Australian labels La Maison Talulah, Stevie May, and The East Order.

We are looking for an expereinced designer with a minimum of 2 years expereince in a design role and strong drive to create beautiful collections for a global market. 

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Design

• Design and develop 6 collections per year for Australia and the International Market. 
• Create capsule collections as required from sales and any development from buyers.
• Follow creative direction & range plan from Creative Director to ensure all ranges meet specific outcomes for each brand and remain within company aesthetic.
• Set trend reports for seasonal styles and collections.
• Print meetings.
• Create colour and mood boards along with fabric selection.
• Design and develop accordingly to target prices.
• Inspiration buying trips planned with Creative Director as required throughout the year.

Management

• Organise and select fabrics from suppliers, and place bulk orders for SMS.
• Sourcing trip to HK & China for fabrics
• Send all prints artwork to factory for SMS and approve artwork
• Handover line sheet prior to sales. Style numbers/style names/descriptions/ fabric content/FOB/WSP to handover to sales/marketing team.
• Follow through critical path.
