About the business and the role
The Goldengrove Building Group is a cutting edge provider of building solutions for residential, multi-residential and specialist development projects. Our head office is based in Southport on the Gold Coast.
Due to continuous growth and expansion across QLD & NSW, we are looking to appoint an experienced and passionate Residential Drafting Manager to join our dedicated team.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Working closely with our dedicated drafting team, in a hands on role, the position will include duties such as:-
- Using REVIT - Producing and managing the preparation of high quality & accurate architectural drawings for residential housing from preliminary concept phase through to full construction drawings;
- Managing the preparation and execution of documentation for regulatory approvals in compliance with all relevant building codes & regulations;
- Ability to interpret detailed developmental approval conditions for residential projects and implementation of the requirements applicable for each project.
- Prompt resolution of internal and external drafting issues and provide guidance to staff when necessary;
Skills and experience
To be considered for this position you must have:-
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Architectural Drafting;
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in the Management of a drafting team with a volume residential building company;
- Highly proficient in the use of REVIT, 3DS Max & Adobe Photoshop;
- The ability to read and comprehend civil, architectural & engineering designs and drawings;
- The ability to prioritise workload, problem solve and time manage;
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and manage a dynamic and dedicated team;
- Competency at intermediate level in Microsoft Excel and Word;
