About the role
An opportunity for a Product Developer in Compression has arisen in our Global Head Office team, based in Melbourne.
Position Outline:
This is a technical and diverse role, giving you the chance to learn and develop multiple skills within apparel and sportswear industry.
- Working with all product development aspects from start to hand-over for bulk production
- Monitoring critical path to ensure on time delivery
- Measuring and fitting garments, resolving any issues in relation to fit, construction and quality during development and communicating it clearly with supplier
- Creation of tech packs from product design
- Managing and maintaining product records and archives and tracking development
- Conducting material testing in-house from development to bulk
- Managing testing procedures externally, analysing and sharing the results with relevant parties
- Actively contributing new designs and ideas
- Making suggestions to improve processes within the team
Knowledge and skill requirements:
- Strong computer literacy including Excel and Adobe Illustrator
- Knowledge of fabric, garment construction, size specs and fitting garments
- Experience dealing with overseas factories and
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ownership of role and ability to take responsibility of tasks through to completion
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Team player with strong work ethic and problem-solving capabilities
- Pattern making and design skills advantageous but not essential
