Immediate Start
$80k + (negotiable upon experience and capacity)
We are seeking a Town Planner with a proactive mindset and evident capacity to assist our clients through the ACT and NSW Urban Planning systems.
Are you competent and forward thinking? At SPACELAB you will be working in sync with our Urban Planners, Landscape Architects, Project Managers and other consultants to provide exceptional outcomes to government agencies and private clients.
Your role will include travel to attend meetings, conferences and functions, including potential for overseas company study trips, with access to a company vehicle.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Degree in Urban Design and/ or Town and Regional Planning
- Membership of PIA
- Evident ongoing Professional Development
Specific Knowledge
A thorough understanding of The Territory Plan and/or NSW Planning, preferably through experience working as a Statutory Planner within private enterprise or local government.
Experienced Town Planners from other jurisdictions within Australia who reside in or around the ACT and who can competently demonstrate an understanding of the hierarchy and application of the Territory Plan are encouraged to apply.
Required skills and qualities
- Sociable engaging persona
- Exceptional written English and verbal communication skills
Desirable skills and competencies
- Urban Design or Landscape Architecture qualification or experience
- Other Urban Planning specialisation, eg; Transport, Environmental, Strategic Planning.
- Demonstrated contribution to planning policy and/or community/stakeholder engagement
- Competency in AutoCAD, Adobe suite
- Tender and bid preparation and submissions
Salary
You will be rewarded after a 3 month probationary period with opportunity to qualify for performance bonuses, in addition to your salary as negotiated.
