Design Gallery delivers projects throughout Australia and overseas including in Hawaii, Fiji and Bali. A large portion of projects undertaken are in the highly competitive and quick paced retail store and hospitality design field. Delivery is to client needs whether individual, company chains or franchise business.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and Documentation Tasks:
- Meet clients and interpret design briefs
- Collaborate on design projects with team members
- Prepare concepts including form/ structure/ finishes
- Prepare presentation aides/ 3D concept images using REVIT
- Develop design for final presentation
- Prepare documentation packages for tendering/ BA approval/ and construction
- Liaise with clients/ architects/ centre managers/ engineers/ certifiers/ shopfitters/ other contractors/
- Cross checking documentation prior to issue
Design Administration Tasks
- Client liaison for all ‘live’ design projects
- Decision making on projects where negotiations are necessary to fulfil client needs
- Design approval process handling - client/ centre’s architect/ regulatory bodies
- Projects timeline management
YOU MUST
- Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Commercial Interior Design / or Interior Architecture (essential)
- Have a minimum of 4 (recent) years of experience in the commercial design environment
- Have solid competency in using Autodesk REVIT (essential)
- Ability to see a project through from client engagement to final documentation
- Can present a comprehensive portfolio of works at an interview
- Have understanding of sound design principals and a flair for design
- Have exceptional time management skills
OUR OFFER
This is a full time position on a 7 month fixed term contract (commencing 15/10/2018) for an ambitious, experienced candidate with the right attitude, who can become a contributing part of the business. (To ascertain suitability a 1 month trial period will apply)
The remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate based on level of technical skill and industry experience.
