Centrally located in the suburb of Osborne Park, we are a dynamic builder that offers a variety of homes including single story, double story and development projects.

We are looking for a Draftsperson with a minimum of 4 years’ experience working on a varied complexity of projects, including split levels, 2-storey and unit/infill development projects.

The ideal candidate will be passionate and hungry for success, with an abundance of pride in their work and appreciation for the need to put in the hard yards for the success of the company.

The role will commence being predominantly producing working drawings for the above project types, with the view to increasing responsibilities and assisting/supporting the Drafting Manager with general up-keep of the Department.

In your role as a Senior Draftsperson you will be responsible for (but not limited to) assisting and supporting the Drafting Manager with the following:

• Ensuring a high quality of design and drafting is maintained with the drafting team
• Taking sole responsibility of large projects, including overall projects for our major development clients
• Liaising with our external consultants such as Structural Engineers, Energy Assessors and Local Councils to discuss arising issues and procedures.
• Effectively and efficiently designing and producing new sketches and working drawings for single storey, double storey and multi-unit developments, all with a varying degree of complexity.
• Liaising with Sales Consultants and other relevant departments to overcome design and construction issues to achieve effective design concepts and good construction practice.
• Liaising with estimating to develop the most cost-effective designs.
• Ensuring BCA guidelines and R codes are met on all projects.
• Assisting management in the development and design of new standard product.

  Our ideal candidate would be a highly driven and passionate Draftsperson who possesses the following:

• A minimum of 4 years' experience within the WA residential building market.
• Completion of Certificate IV in Residential Drafting

• Intermediate skills using the Microsoft Office Suite and advanced skills in ArchiCAD Software.

• Have a thorough understanding of local government/developer regulations, Building Codes of Australia and R Codes;

• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Have exceptional time management skills;
• Have a high attention to detail especially when checking sketch work and working drawings.
• Comprehensive experience in ALL types of residential projects such as 1st home buyers / unit developments / 2-storey projects, varying in complexity.
