The role:

Our Interior Design assistant will be responsible for guiding our clients through material and finishes selections of their residential projects, including new homes [knock down re-build], extensions or renovations. Using your interior design skills, you’ll provide advice on interior design colour schemes, as well as use your product knowledge to add value to our client’s design journey.

Some of the tasks will include;

Supporting & guiding clients [approx. 2-3 a week], through the home customisation & selection process, including interior colours, finishes and fittings; kitchens and bathrooms; and street appeal and outdoor living,

• Presenting colour selections to clients for review,
• Preparing and maintaining Selections Specifications documentations,
• Perform some administrative duties such as management of job files, emailing documents and liaising with client queries during the design journey,
• Maintain up to date colour selection room,
• Prepare and present mood boards when required,
• Develop effective relationships with key supply partners and actively promote their products,

In addition, the role will include furniture and soft furnishing styling of Display and Client Show Homes, as well as assisting in photoshoots and creating appropriate promotional marketing assets of the Studio’s work.

The Requirements:

• Some experience as a Colour Interior Consultant,
• Qualification in Interior Decorating or equivalent,
• Experience in reading and interpreting plans and elevation drawings,
• Professional attitude, outgoing and friendly personality,
• Professional, responsible and have a strong attention to detail,
• A passion for interior design and residential building,
• You must have client facing presentations skills, strong communication both written and verbal and an ability to work on multiple projects at the same time,
• Ability to meet client deadlines,
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office,
• Some AutoCAD skills an advantage but not essential,
• Some Sketchup skills an advantage but not essential.

This role will suit a candidate with some experience in colour/material selection in the residential building industry, looking to work with a small but dedicated team of design and visualisation professionals.
