JPA&D is an architecture practice undertaking Architecture, Interior and Heritage Projects. We are looking for a motivated research assistant to help with documentary and on-site research of heritage items. You will be adept at research both online and in physical archives and able to undertake accurate site measurements of heritage structures.

Essential:

• A passion and knowledge of heritage particularly in NSW
• Minimum of a Graduate Diploma or Masters degree in Architecture, Heritage or Australian History preferably from an Australian University
• Knowledge of statutory requirements relating to built heritage in NSW
• Proven ability to undertake research both online and in physical archives
• Excellent written and spoken english
• Proven ability to write a specific research document with grammatical accuracy
• Sound communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to undertake detailed measured surveys of heritage buildings and sites
• Ability to work in a team and independantly
• Good skills in Word and Excel
• proficient skills in Photoshop

Desirable

• Basic drafting in AUTOCAD
• Ability to use InDesign
• Current drivers license and own vehicle
