Knox City Council, located at the foot of the Dandenong Ranges in Melbourne’s east, provides an excellent opportunity for Statutory Planners to deal with a diverse range of planning applications.
Council is seeking applicants with qualifications in planning for the position of Principal Planner. The role will see you report to the Coordinator Planning, providing advice and recommendations on a wide range of proposals and applications in accordance with relevant planning provisions, including representing Council at VCAT hearings.
The successful applicant will be a qualified and experienced planner with the ability to manage projects and complex planning applications, solve problems and make decisions, provide excellent service to customers, and lead and supervise less experienced staff. In addition, well developed interpersonal, communication and computer skills are essential.
Total remuneration will be in the range of $95,000 to $106,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
