An online bespoke wedding accessories brand TANIA MARAS is looking for Design + Production Assistants to assist with the creation of beautiful and luxurious wedding accessories.
You will work directly with the lead designer and a small creative team on all aspects of production. This will include training in fine skills such as jewellery wire work and beading. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is both committed and reliable, and wants to see first hand how a small creative boutique accessories business is run, including gaining an insight into social media and brand management.
This position is ideal for creatives, students or graduates of Fashion Design (or similar) and would love experience working with an online fashion accessories brand.
DETAILS
• Location: Fyshwick, Canberra
• 2-3 days a week (week days only, no weekends)
• Start date: ASAP
JOB ROLE
Following initial training, you will assist in the completion of new and existing orders, including wholesale orders for international bridal retailers.
You will be required to help with the production of woven, beaded and plier based pieces to specification, and to a high standard.
You will be required to organise supplies and assist with quality control inspections – so an eye for detail is a must!
You will be required to assist in the preparation and packaging of orders for worldwide shipment.
KEY SKILLS
• A ‘can do’ attitude is a must.
• A keen eye for detail, passionate, and a willingness to learn.
• Basic to intermediate skills in sewing, fine crafts or jewellery making desired. Specific training to develop skills to create pieces will be provided.
• The ability to perform under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately.
