Based in the CBD, My client is a forward thinking, fun environment focused on the financial services sector that is looking to bring a Designer on board to lead the creation of offline and online collateral. 

In this role you'll be expected to develop the look and feel of the communications across print and digital platforms in line with the broader strategy. This includes design and layout of our magazine, design and delivery of user-friendly websites, marketing collateral, and the design of other digital and print collateral, as required, in keeping with the brand and website standards and conventions.

In this role, you'll be required to:

• Think of concepts and take ideas through to creation
• Transform content into engaging visuals eg. Infographics
• Source/create/retouch imagery to accompany articles
• Recreate graphics from contributors
• Maintain image library
• Reviewing artwork proofs
• Assisting with style editing of articles
• Uploading SF digital to RealView and adding interactivity
• Create full page and panel ads
• Retouching and image manipulation
• Magazine design and layout completed as agreed, to deadline.
• Readership satisfaction surveys
• Develop and maintain a consistent and contemporary look and feel for the websites - including microsites – that is current, accurate and user-friendly.
• Apply latest thinking to website navigation and development
• Liaise with CMS provider to solve functionality issues and implement best practice
• New design of website is delivered in line with project timeline
• New-look website has improved SEO and usability scores
• Content is interactive where appropriate and user-friendly
• Responsiveness in addressing issues with the website – in conjunction with the web producer, and IT.
• Back up support for website content management and e-communications

Support the Web Producer when necessary by:

• Adhering to  brand guidelines across websites and all e-comms
• Delivering to brief requirements, check details and ensure all links are working
• Create web tiles, banners, graphics, as required.
• Ensuring coding is clean and easy for others to follow
• Updating web content systematically and ensuring that version control is tightly managed
• Share knowledge with web producer as much as possible to assist with their development
• Collaboration to ensure that there is consistency across both online and printed materials. The digital and print producer also acts as a back-up for the Designer

Qualifications & experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications well regarded but not essential
• Minimum 5 years’ demonstrated experience in two or more of:
• Graphic design
• Website design
• Magazine design and layout

Knowledge & Skills:

• Proven track record in project delivery, multi-tasking and meeting strict deadlines
• Results oriented whilst maintaining the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assess risks appropriately
• Computer literate in Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS  and Microsoft - Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Java script desirable)
