About the role
This position calls for an ambitious mid interior designer to design, plan and supervise high quality projects that range between luxury residential, high-end hospitality and commercial projects.
The designer must have a high level of passion, attention to detail, creativity and technical skill.
They will need to adapt responsively to the changing needs of each project, and possess a proactive attitude, and a positive disposition.
Excellent time management, communication and presentation skills are essential.
The designer will have a bachelor degree or higher qualification or at least a min 5 years relevant experience
Job Role:
Lead a small team of designers
Mentor junior designers
Reporting to the directors / associate
Assist in office programming
Prepare fee documents
Liaise with clients / Project management
Assisting with general administration and office tasks
Supervise and manage projects from inception to completion
Attend client meetings
Daily Tasks:
Consult with clients to establish design brief objectives and initial outcomes
Produce concept drawings, sketches and produce Photoshop renders
Prepare documentation packages to communicate designs for construction purposes
Specify material and finishes selection
Specify furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing
fixtures
Produce detail documentation in AutoCAD or the nominated computer program
Produce FF&E and furniture schedule and documentation packages
Produce design packages from inception to completion
Liaise with suppliers and maintain the finishes and product library
Co-ordinate 3D renders and marketing collateral
Work to nominated time-lines and deadlines
Be proficient in the Adobe suite; InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Be proficient in sketch-up
Attending industry events
Assist with marketing tasks, Instagram, EDM's, Website etc.
