DTMR are seeking an experienced, responsible, organised and innovate Senior Designer (Civil) to operate in a multidisciplinary team environment and participate in the management and delivery of planning and design projects as components of transport infrastructure projects and provide expert technical advice and support to the transport infrastructure functional areas in the Region.
This role involves:
- Delivering and supervise the development of transport infrastructure design models in the strategic planning, concept, development, and implementation phases of an overarching Road System Manager framework for the delivery of projects.
- Ensuring that planning and design principles are implemented in accordance with the relevant policies, standards, guidelines and legislation, and that quality management procedures are adhered to.
- Assisting with the management and review of external design consultancies provision of design services.
- Providing expert support and advice, including problem resolution, to various stakeholders on the planning and design process for successful completion of transport infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate will have:
Mandatory requirements:
- An Associate Degree in Engineering (Civil)
Desirable requirements:
- A Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) qualification or acceptable equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
- A Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
