Packaging and Branding Specialist Designer
Genesis.com.au is a multi-faceted Health and Sports Supplement Retailer based in Gold Coast Australia. We are focused on providing quality advice and products to assist people in achieving their goals.
We have recently expanded into our brand-new head office in Yatala due to rapid growth and are seeking an enthusiastic Packaging and Branding Specialist Designer to join our E-Commerce team.
The Core Role
You will be responsible for creating new and exciting brands that will be developed and pushed to market in conjunction with our manufacturing and distribution partners. A key focus will be the conceptualization process and a clear understanding of our market demographic.
You will design and develop Photoshop and Illustrator based components and assets for packaging, through to creating e-commerce mockups (front end), external marketing components, and social media guides to provide traction for each brand. We require a strong emphasis towards High Quality, Recognisable Design yet with enough creativity to test the limits and explore new options to grow further brand development.
In addition to this, you will also form part of our core e-commerce team that may see you working on the following:
- Campaign creation - EDM's, Web Banners, Product imagery and associated works
- General online branding
- Social Media designs
- Some print work to support our retail store components
- Web Interface Development - UI Design and Re-Skinning/Refreshing of some elements.
The Extended Role (Dependant on Experience)
- New Site UI Design and Development
- Product Photography
- Development of Additional Projects
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience with Packaging Design and or Brand Identity work.
- High-Level Experience with Adobe Illustrator
- Ideally 2-3+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Portfolio with actual "to market examples" showing experience in digital design, brand design, and packaging work.
Desirable (but not crucial)
- Working knowledge of any CMS platform
- Adword, Facebook or Instagram ad spend management

You will be detail oriented with high-quality project management skills and a passion for packaging design. You are quick to pick up on things and can think on your feet. As an experienced digital producer you'll be adaptable and flexible. You're willing to teach others and keen to learn, able to take ownership, prioritize, meet deadlines and escalate. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, finding pragmatic solutions to problems and raising opportunities. You'll have high standards in every aspect of your working day and expect of yourself what we expect in our staff. You'll also promise to share your brownies if you bring them to work.
