SAS Welding and Fabrication located at Seven Hills, Sydney NSW offer services to clients which include the manufacturing of glass balustrade, handrails, structural steel and drainage solutions. However, SAS undertakes many other varied customised work for clients which will add to your variety of work in this job role. If you are seeking to join a team that is driving its business into the 21st century and have transitioned into a drafting role from the factory shop floor, with solid technical skills we would seriously like to hear from you. 

Personal Attributes

Strong history in metal fabrication trade with solid skill sets. 

Strong capability in recommending designs from client information. 

Demonstrate historical performance of in design and fabrication .  

Able to work independently.

Accept challenges and working in time critical environments

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

Role responsibilities include

Prepare CAD shop drawings from architectural drawings

Ensure CAD drawings meet all regulatory and compliance standards  

Prepare estimates and quotes in a supporting role with colleagues.

Undertake in a supporting role with colleague site measure works from time to time

Liaising with all senior management 

Communicate with clients both verbally and by correspondence.

Ensure integrity of data assets are up kept at all times

Skills and experience

Drafting using CAD preferably minimum 3 years post training.

Formal qualification in Drafting

Ability to meet deadlines and working under pressure.

Excellent communication skills

Solid IT skills are necessary
