Megasorber is an innovative local business that designs, develops and supplies soundproofing materials and solutions to the architectural acoustics, building and construction, power generation, marine, transport and defence industries.

Located in Blackburn North, we are a fast-growing business that is supplying product to both domestic and international markets.

The Role

Reporting to the Director, this position coordinates the sales administration process, supporting the Sales and Business Development team and contributing to the overall administrative support of Megasorber.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating communication with Sales and Production teams to ensure the efficient and continual progress of work from proposal through to delivery
  • Managing workflow and records for new clients, creating files, discussing requirements with the Sales Team, and allocating responsibilities to staff
  • Liaison with clients and staff to manage timelines for receiving required documentation and resolving issues
  • Coordinate client liaison for orders, updating the team on client requirements
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of marketing materials
  • Administrative tasks such as document creation, management or records and correspondence, and general support for the office including filing and answering calls
  • Processing accounts payable and receivable, creating and processing invoices and entering payments
  • Processing of payroll, worker’s compensation, LSL and superannuation contributions
  • Liaising with the management team to identify opportunities to improve office efficiency and implement recommendations

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a busy Administrative role working with MYOB or an equivalent system. Previous experience in a Manufacturing or Sales environment will be a bonus as will an understanding of payroll. A qualification in Business Administration or Bookkeeping will also be highly regarded.

You will be a hands-on, organised, practical individual who enjoys working in a dynamic environment. You will display a high degree of initiative, independent thinking, problem-solving and consultation skills. With excellent skills in Microsoft Office, you can prepare documents and reports with high regard for confidentiality.  

You display a professional presence with customers, adapting your communication style to your audience. You are flexible and can adjust to ever changing priorities. Calm under pressure, your ability to meet your KPI’s while dealing with the day to day issues will determine your ability to organise your time to achieve results.

Previous experience working with quality systems (ISO 9000) and lean management principals will be a definite advantage, and you are keen to learn about acoustics and soundproofing to allow you to provide the highest standard of support to our clients.
