About the business

We are a leading supplier within our industry, conveniently located within the inner Brisbane Suburbs. We have been operating for over 50 years and are an Australian, Family owned organisation. Due to growth and movement within our team, we are seeking an experienced permanent Customer Service and Administration Assistant. There is a full time permanent position available as well as a casual position. 

Job tasks and responsibilities

As a Customer Service and Administration Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring every customer is greeted with a smile;
  • Inbound and outbound calls, answering general enquires;
  • Processing customer orders and generating invoices;
  • Requesting customer payments and Receipting payments;
  • Managing account enquires;
  • Stocktaking;
  • Cash Handling.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will have demonstrated and previous experience in a similar Customer Service and/or Administration position and will be an outstanding team player. This role requires a warm, friendly disposition, excellent presentation and a professional phone manner. The ideal candidate will ideally possess the following:

  • Excellent customer service skills with an outgoing and friendly personality;
  • Professional phone manner;
  • Strong computer skills;
  • Problem solving skills and common sense;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Self-Motivation, and the ability to take initiative;
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
