We are an artisan food producer specialising in producing small batch products for our wholesale and retail clients through our delicatessen.  We have built a reputation for creating products of exceptional quality and are seen as industry leaders.

Our business is growing so we are now looking for a dynamite allrounder with fresh ideas, who can put their hand to just about anything.

You have a passion for food, a strong ‘can do’ attitude and have excellent sales and communication skills.  You are a team player and prepared to work towards the benefit of the business as a whole.

You are continually striving for excellence and diligently work at problems, exploring different options to find the best solution.

Most importantly you are flexible and get a buzz from a huge amount of variety and don’t mind doing mundane jobs as well as working on creative projects.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Sales Assistant/Office Allrounder some of the tasks include:

  • Opening and closing our delicatessen
  • Direct customer sales at the delicatessen, setting up and merchandising
  • Office sales support - quotes and sales follow-ups
  • Target current and new opportunities
  • General office and reception duties in a small busy office environment
  • Enter orders and despatch where necessary
  • Accounts data entry
  • Website and social media management
  • Marketing communications
  • Assisting the Director with all marketing activities

As this is a varied role we require someone who can switch between the office and customer/retail duties.

What We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have the following:

  • A passion for food and customer service
  • Previous relevant experience in the food/retail industry
  • Experience in a deli/kitchen environment
  • Good computer literacy and experience working in an office with Word, Excel and MYOB
  • Able to work independently, to be self-motivated and results driven
  • Professional communication skills, attitude and customer focused approach
  • Proactive with strong time management, planning and organising skills
  • Willingness to be trained
  • Strong food product knowledge and understanding of food trends
  • Able to work within a small close-knit team
  • The ability to work in an everchanging, dynamic environment ·

To be considered, it is essential that you possess a current and valid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle.  The successful applicant must have a police clearance and only people eligible to work in Australia need apply.
