Our client is a large government department seeking a highly organised and efficient Executive Officer for a new position within their organisation.
The successful applicant will provide executive support to the Chief Risk Officer and the Chief Finance Officer and can hit the ground quickly with providing assistant with the planning and strategic guidance.
Under limited direction responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Liaise with internal staff and external to the Division
- Assist the CRO and CFO in all their deliverables
- Management of emails and appointments, responding to changing priorities and timeframes.
- Make decisions within defined parameters and set new precedents based on sound subject matter knowledge and professional judgement, whilst understanding the overall outcomes on the work area
- Apply innovative initiatives and contribute to change and to the improvement in quality and efficiency of services
- Prepare routine and complex/ sensitive correspondence
- Identify and contribute to the resolution of issues and problems as they arise
To be successful for this role, you must have;
- Proven ability to balance priorities, troubleshoot problems, meet tight deadlines, and deliver on time, within budget and exceeding expectations
- Ability to work within the team and adapt quickly to a changing environment
- Be able to hit the ground running with your pre-emptive thinking
- Ability to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to synthesise and analyse information and make decisions.
