Madderns is Adelaide’s leading Patent & Trade Mark Attorney firm providing specialist advice and assistance to high profile Australian and overseas clients in relation to intellectual property (IP) including patents, trade marks, and designs. 

We are currently seeking a Records Administrator to perform data entry and records-related tasks.  Your daily role will include:

  • Importing and saving incoming electronic documents into our Document Management System (DMS);
  • Reviewing and analysing incoming correspondence to identify and update electronic case records;
  • Entering records in our IP database (Inprotech) and creating deadlines from official communications;
  • Updating Inprotech to satisfy policing requirements and deadlines;
  • Providing records for checking;
  • Performing other general administrative tasks for the team as requested.

To be successful for this role, you will need to have previous experience in an administrative or records entry role.  You will have experience working in a corporate environment, preferably within the IP sector, a legal services or a professional services firm.  In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Superior computer, typing and data entry skills using the MS Office Suite;
  • Experience and confidence using electronic filing systems and document management databases;
  • Very high level of attention to fine detail and accuracy;
  • Proven ability to manage a busy workload on a daily basis, and work under pressure to meet  deadlines;
  • Proven experience handling confidential information with discretion;
  • Positive attitude, personable, approachable and willingness to work within a team and to assist others.
