We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Correspondence / Liaison Officer for an ongoing contract opportunity commencing ASAP.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and mentor all incoming and outgoing correspondence for the office.
- Prepare and edit correspondence to ensure accurate, timely and relevant information is provided in accordance with departmental guidelines and processes.
- Manage and maintain the correspondence tracking system, recording relevant correspondence through the Department’s record management system.
- Liaise, negotiate and consult with senior management and officers to ensure correspondence is completed in a timely manner in accordance with agreed processes and guidelines.
- Provide reports as required to the Executive Director and Directors to assist them with correspondence timeframes.
- Review, develop, evaluate and improve correspondence work systems, procedures and guidelines to ensure timeframes are met and quality is maintained.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrated experience in managing high volumes of incoming and outgoing correspondence, preferably within a government department.
- Demonstrated ability to actively participate as a team member and to coach and mentor other staff to improve work practices and develop staff capability.
- Demonstrated time management skills including the ability to work autonomously within a team environment and prioritise work to achieve required outcomes and meet deadlines.
- You will have a keen eye for detail, be professional at all times and enjoy the challenge of a busy environment.
