As the peak national not-for-profit body for the security industry, the Australian Security Industry Association (ASIAL) is committed to delivering quality information and services to its members and the community. ASIAL is also an accredited cabling registrar under the Cabling provider Rules National Registration System on behalf of the Australian Communications & Media Authority (ACMA).

We are seeking a proactive and energetic person capable of delivering a consistently high level of customer service in a busy working environment. You will enjoy working as part of a team, but also be driven to perform individually. You will possess excellent administrative and customer service skills, and thrive working in a small but busy office environment.
 

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Answer and screen in-coming telephone calls and member enquiries;
  • Assist Cablers with cabling registration including verifying Registered Training Organisation (RTO) cabling transcripts;
  • Refer to appropriate staff member those calls that cannot be handled;
  • Responsibility for accurate and timely processing of Membership/Cabling applications/registrations and renewals;
  • Assist in the accurate data entry and maintenance of the Membership/Cabling Database;
  • Assist in the organisation and coordination of mailings to Members/Cablers including registration cards;
  • Assist in developing the acquisition & retention strategy and implementation (Cabling);
  • Other duties as required.

Skills and experience

This frontline role requires someone with:

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with limited supervision as part of a team;
  • An excellent customer service ethic and ability to handle queries from members and registered cablers in a timely and efficient manner; 
  • A friendly and proactive nature;
  • An eye for detail, consistency and accuracy in processing and sharing information;
  • Experience working with Customer Relationship Management systems and Microsoft Outlook / Office Software;
  • Previous RTO experience is preferable but not necessary.
