The Office of the Pro Vice Chancellor Research (PVCR) is responsible for overseeing the generation of external research income, improving UNSW’s overall research performance, and attracting and retaining outstanding academic staff to UNSW. The PVCR is also responsible for UNSW’s international research strategy, research partnerships including affiliated research institutes, researcher development and effective promotion of the University’s research capability and research profiles.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Project Officer/Executive Assistant, you will manage daily administrative tasks including organising events, diary management, travel bookings, purchasing, record keeping, and supporting a variety of projects with the overall aim of improving the quality and breadth of service delivery and supporting world-class research across UNSW.
About the successful applicant:
You can demonstrate your excellent administration skills and experience, ideally gained in a large, complex organisation including:
- Extensive administrative experience and broad office skills in a team environment
- Organisational and time management skills, including multi-tasking and managing conflicting deadlines
- Communication skills and ability to identify, analyse and resolve administrative issues and problems, and contribute to improved processes
- High-level proficiency in a range of computing skills including Microsoft Office suite, databases, Outlook, and demonstrated ability to learn and implement new systems
