The Company
Fenner Dunlop Australia Pty Ltd, part of the Michelin Group of Companies, is the world leader in the manufacture of conveyor belting for mining and industrial applications. With manufacturing plants in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth supporting 16 branches nationally, we offer a comprehensive range of products and services from the design and supply of complete conveyor solutions through to service, installation maintenance and diagnostics services.
The Position
Our Emerald branch is a busy service branch, providing sales and technical service to our clients (mines). The Administration Officer reports to the Branch Manager, and in this autonomous role, you will be responsible for ensuring all office administration tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be able to take responsibility for a wide range of functions.  This is a busy hands on role.
Key responsibilities
  • Following up on customer orders and ensuring they are on time or addressing any issues
  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Organising of travel, mine site inductions and medicals
  • Managing the branch training matrix
  • Raising purchase orders and jobs, invoicing
  • General administration and petty cash
  • Reception duties and customer service
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role
  • Relevant industry experience in mining or workshop service (essential)
  • ERP experience (EPICOR desirable but not essential)
  • Certificate III in Administration or higher
  • Demonstrated finance / bookkeeping experience
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team-focused environment
  • High level accuracy and attention to detail as well as proven skills in Microsoft Word and Excel and data entry
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to quickly develop, establish and sustain solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Internal sales experience would be well regarded
