Our client is a privately owned company providing exceptional service to customers for over 15 years across the Domestic and Commercial Air Conditioning / Refrigeration industries.

This well-established company specialise in all facets of the HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration) industries. Located on Brisbane's Northside, our client is a medium sized company currently employing over 50 industry experts committed to providing high quality customer service.

This position will see you take charge of the general running of the office whilst managing a team of 4-5 administrative staff members. This role is multi-faceted and requires an individual who can supervise and mentor staff whilst also providing hands-on administrative support where required.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Accurately maintain financials for the business, including BAS, PAYG, Cashflow and projections, monthly reporting and payroll
  • Monitor and improve company policies, procedures and processes and ensuring any changes are communicated effectively to team members
  • Supervise, train and mentor staff members
  • General office duties including answering phone calls, scheduling works, filing etc
  • Manage Workcover claims and assist with ongoing improvement of Safety and Quality Assurance policies and procedures
  • Induct new staff members and monitor staff performance
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues at all levels

The successful candidate will hold the following skills and attributes:

  • Previous demonstrated experience in an Office Manager / Administration Manager position, including the management of an administration team
  • Previous demonstrated experience in maintaining a company's financials including reporting, payroll, preparing end of month
  • Excellent mentoring skills and an approachable and hands on attitude
  • High level of productivity and a willingness to drive efficiency and productivity through continuous improvement
  • Trustworthy and honest and be able to keep company information confidential
  • Great work ethic and attention to detail
  • Confidence to communicate with clients in a clear and concise manner
