Leading Mercantile Agency located in Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs has recently undergone growth that requires Collections Officers to join their expanding team. The company prides itself on maintaining a friendly and diverse working environment. This role will suit individuals with a background in Collections, Accounts Receivable, Credit Management or General Administration.

The company is going through significant change and has recently invested in systems to ensure that staff are trained, supported and maintained. You will always receive ongoing mentoring and training from their approachable management team.

We are looking for individuals who have some experience within the above criteria as well as strong communication and negotiation skills, assertiveness, persistence, the ability to work in an interactive team environment.

Amongst your duties you will

• Provide efficient responses via telephone and written correspondence on behalf of our clients for outstanding debts
• Use your rapport building and negotiation skills to set up payment arrangements, taking into account creditor expectations, contractual obligations and the customers' financial position.
• Directly liaising with a range of clients.
• Work towards targets and KPIs and receive feedback regarding your output.
• Uphold compliance while providing professional and friendly customer service.
• High level of computer literacy.

This is a maternity leave contract of 6 months +. All working hours are flexible to suit your individual needs. Our office is open 8:30-6:00 Monday to Friday.
