Epworth Richmond Intensive Care Unit is looking for a capable and enthusiastic person to fill the role of Personal Assistant to the Director and Deputy Director of the ICU. This is an exciting role in a friendly environment where you can draw upon your high level administrative and organisational skills to effectively support the daily running of the Intensive Care Unit.

 

The Role 

 

Daily tasks to be performed in this role include:

  • Organising and preparing documents, preparation of meetings and papers
  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders to effectively manage the diaries and workflow
  • Reviewing and prioritising tasks
  • Handling confidential and sensitive issues with discretion and efficiency
  • Undertaking special projects and other duties as required
  • Responding to urgent requests

 

Skills & Experience

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  •  Administration experience in a hospital environment
  • A high level of initiative and demonstrated ability to operate independently under broad direction
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff of all levels and departments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Sound judgement and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated awareness of the principles of confidentiality, privacy and the handling of sensitive information
