Established transport and supply chain company that provides a range of services, such as container maintenance, storage, quarantine services and warehousing, is searching for an experienced Invoicing/Customer Service Clerk to join their team. This is a respected opportunity to work along a cohesive team at an old school trucking company who prides themselves on their high regard for health and safety.

Reporting to the Systems and Finance Controller, this is a very important role providing assistance in all administrative tasks supporting the transport and logistics teams, with a focus on sales invoicing and customer service. The main duties of the role include the following:
  • Co-ordinate invoicing for the transport and CFS functions
  • Verifying and following up sub-contractor invoices
  • Ensure the invoicing cycle is kept within business standards (3 days)
  • Providing support to and liaising with Operations team as required
  • Responding promptly to customer queries and special requests
  • Ensure customer records and jobs in data base are up to date and accurate
  • Providing internal customer service to the team with a focus on high communication
  • Scan and file paperwork relating to drivers and sub-contractors run cards
  • Answering phones confidently and responding to basic customer queries as required
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, demonstrate a high level of customer service and attention to detail. Your ability to manage complex invoicing tasks and your clear and effective communication will help you go a long way with making a success in this role. You must display advanced computer skills, knowledge of the Maximus system would be an advantage but not essential.
