Our NSW State Government client is responsible for driving tourism strategies including major sporting and cultural events, in Sydney and Regional NSW. They are currently seeking an experienced Records Officer to join their team in The Rocks, for an estimated 3-month temporary contract, potentially longer.Supporting the ICT Facilities and HR Team, you will be responsible for maintaining physical and electronic files/documents through the database, improving the sharing and use of information across NSW Government departments.
Some responsibilities of this role will include, however, will not be limited to the following –
- Archiving of various documents
- Conduct routine investigation of various information and documentation
- Redaction and consolidation of confidential or third-party information in accordance with policies
- Liaise with the Records Manager for approval of release of information
- Assist in training of new staff of systems including TRIM
- Provide troubleshooting support to internal staff relating to systems including TRIM
- Answer complex enquiries ensuring the information provided is accurate and responded to within timeframes
- Maintain data confidentiality, accuracy and integrity through database and records management.
- Provide a wide range of administrative support to the ICT Facilities and HR team
- Retrieve, collate and analyse documentation, making recommendations around improvement strategies including performance and efficiency.
- Previous Records Management experience
- Strong systems experience including CM8, CM9 and TRIM
- Sound knowledge of Government Legislation and terminology
- Excellent communication and administration skills
- Ability to work within a high-volume environment with superior prioritising and multitasking skills ensuring tasks are completed with set deadlines/timeframes.
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and self-manage
- A strong team and task focus, be willing to assist in other areas as required
- Ability to commence the assignment almost immediately and commit to the duration
