We have a full time opportunity at our brand new Opal Blacktown home. Interviews will commence in July 2018.

About Opal Blacktown:

The beautiful new five story home, located close to Blacktown Hospital and public transport showcases the latest aged care innovations, offering residents more choice in care, services and lifestyle activities. Opal Blacktown will provide high quality and affordable care giving residents a choice of rooms including singles and companion rooms with ensuites. There will be a specialist “Memory Support” wing dedicated to providing exceptional care for residents living with dementia.

About the role:

Opal Blacktown is currently seeking a Receptionist to join the team. This opportunity is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday. Our Receptionists play a key role as the face of Opal Aged Care and provide support to staff, residents and senior management. 

Duties will include:
  • Answering inbound calls
  • Meeting and greeting residents & visitors and directing them as required
  • Maintaining a sign-in and out log book
  • Diary management for staff members
  • Typing of internal memos, document, reporting and administrative duties including support with new admissions, rosters etc.
  • Assisting with inducting new staff members
  • Rostering assistance
Our ideal candidate will have:
  • Ideally previous experience working in aged care
  • Experience in a reception/administration role
  • Exceptional customer service skills and professional presentation
  • Excellent telephone manner and articulation
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook
