Our client, a division of a well-established Asia-Pacific organisation is offering an opportunity to join their busy and close–knit team based in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. This role requires somebody with high organisational skills, administration, customer service and ability to make things happen. 

The position encompasses various duties ranging from Admin through to customer service, order processing and co-ordinating transportation and deliveries with subsidiary duties and responsibilities in assisting other sections where required including sales order entry.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain
  • Admin experience
  • Strong Computer skills – at least intermediate level with Database experience, ideal
  • Proven customer service skills 
  • Quick ability to learn and pick up new tasks and systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised nature with a systematic approach to work
  • A self-starter with a real 'can do' nature and strong Customer focus
  • Excellent follow through skills
  • Maturity, professionalism, leadership  and efficiency
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to work
  • Results-driven
  • A self-starter who knows how to take ownership of their role
  • Experience in the Steel/Engineering Industry will be advantageous, however, not essential.
  • The environment is male-dominated hence adaptability is essential.

This role is offered on a temp-to-perm basis and permanency depends on your performance during the trial period. The position offers an attractive hourly rate + super, immediate start, on the job training and a chance to be a part of this highly successful business.  Permanent salary range is up to $55K + super which is commensurate with experience.
