The Company:
There are two components to the Company which make it dynamic and interesting:
- investment banking; and
- office subleasing and management.
As such, it is a small company with approx 14 colleagues working on the same floor, ensuring a pleasant and relaxed working environment.
Day-to-day role responsibilities include:
- oversight of the invoicing, stock provision, communication and general relationship-management with subleasing clients,
- data inputting via StockMaster for all trades and investments undertaken by the Company including balancing of same,
- ongoing assistance to Company accountants with reconciliation and paperwork management for end-of-year taxation requirements,
- Personal assistance duties for Company Director, including travel booking requirements, diary management, stockbroker and client relationship follow-up.
Experience Required:
Must have experience with StockMaster or similar databases, strong computer skills including use of Excel Spreadsheet and a sound administrative understanding of the finance industry i.e. knowledge of IPOs, share-trading, options etc. Additionally, the suitable candidate will have at least one to two years working in a similar role within the Finance sector.
Other:
This role will ideally suit someone wishing to undertake part-time work. Required workdays are Monday and Wednesday although these days may be negotiable. From time to time the role may require a three day week. The office closes from mid December to mid January each year, as such annual leave is required to be taken over this period. A six month probation period is required.
Applicants are not required to hold formal qualifications beyond completion of schooling. A happy disposition, excellent attention to detail, good use of initiative and strong communication skills are vital to the role.
