The Position

The Office Administrator is to ensure that the office runs smoothly and professionally, to support the client service team with the administrative tasks required when servicing clients, to support the director and manager.

Communicate with clients in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring that they experience the personal and professional service that our business provides.

The Role
  • Attending to our tax return lodgement process, monitor and follow up on unsigned returns
  • Monitor Trust Account and process refunds
  • Maintaining client details in our systems and updating details when changes occur
  • Recording client payments in our accounting system
  • Attend to our new client engagement procedures
  • Arrange general office services, and maintain office supplies
  • Answer all telephone calls, and take messages where required
  • Prepare documents needed for client meetings
  • Attend to all incoming correspondence (mainly ATO and ASIC)
  • Collate financial statements and tax returns for signing
  • Assist with marketing activities (social media posts; formatting of newsletters)
  • Assist with management of director’s and manager’s calendar (sending meeting requests etc as required.
The Candidate 
  • Experience in an office administration position within an Australian accounting practice
  • Experienced in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of Products
  • Ability to learn and use other industry related software
  • Experience using practice management software and Tax Agent Portal
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team, develop positive relationships with co-workers, and obtain respect and loyalty from team members
