Administration Assistant - Melbourne

Philip Chun is a multi-disciplinary consulting company providing certification, building code, accessibility, fire and life safety consulting services to the construction and development industry.

Philip Chun Essential Services is an integral part of the Philip Chun group of Companies and comprises experienced Essential Service Consultants with a broad knowledge in essential safety measures - maintenance obligations, inspections, reviews and audits.

We currently have a position available for a full time Administration Assistant in our Melbourne office.

The Administration Assistant will be required to work within a small team in the Essential Services unit and will be involved in all aspects of the business to varying degrees. This includes the administrative support of the technical staff, marketing, business development, client relationships and delivering a quality and timely service to our clients.

  • Highly organised and the ability to multi task
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Miscrosoft  Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to follow processes
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of an efficient team
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Good time-management skills
  • You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this position.

Preferred experience

  • Deltek Vision database experience
  • Bluebeam architectural plan mark ups

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administration

  • Review and format of technical documentation.  
  • Review / update / create template documents. 
  • Be willing to learn new software programs.

Marketing

  • Assist in obtaining new business opportunities and identify and implement marketing strategies to achieve growth of the existing client base.
  • Assist in targeting different clients.
  • Contact potential clients via phone, email, meeting or mailing out letters.

Fee Proposals

  • Develop an understanding of our fee structure and scope of service provided.
  • Work towards assisting in preparing new/amended fee proposals.
