The Role
JD Healthcare are currently searching for a Purchasing and Customer Service Coordinator to join the growing team. The position reports to the Administrative Manager and is responsible for ensuring the efficient handling of customer orders and inquiries. When a client order is placed, the Purchasing and Customer Service Coordinator will determine whether these orders can be filled from current warehouse stock, or whether additional stock will have to be ordered. They will inform the clients of expected delivery timelines and deliver a high level of customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchasing of existing items for clients and procuring new items from suppliers
- Conducting inventory analysis and landed cost variations and preparing reports for the management team
- Conducting forward-looking analysis to prevent stock outages
- Building strong relationships with the global supplier network to improve shipping efficiency
- Providing freight costs and delivery timelines through tracking inbound and outbound shipments
The Candidate
- Minimum of two years experience working in a purchasing role
- Prior experience importing products into Australia
- Strong technical computer skills, including experience with Excel and ideally an ERP system
- Strong level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to work closely with all areas of the business
