About the role

Apple Tree Medical is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join their friendly and supportive team.

Reporting directly to the company directors, the Practice Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of three Apple Tree Medical practices in Cairns North, Smithfield, and Palm Cove.

With experience in leading a medical and administration team, you must have the proven ability to make decisions, solve problems, promote a positive workplace culture, resolve patient complaints, and effectively roster the doctors, nursing, allied health, and administration team members. In addition, you must have good computer skills and experience trouble shooting basic computer issues, as well as creating and updating spreadsheets and reports. 

The Practice Manager will also contribute to the marketing strategy.  Demonstrated experience in marketing including social media Campaigns, as well as basic graphic design skills to maintain the online presence of the medical practices is desirable.

Experience

You must be able to demonstrate the following experience:

  • Experience managing a medical and administrative team in day-to-day operations
  • Proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Understanding of Medicare and Private Billing processes
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience working with spreadsheets and reports
