We are looking to employ someone who is solely focussed on running a dynamic Reception desk with a proven track record of proficient client service abilities. This person will be exceptionally versatile at multi-tasking including: attending to a busy telephone switchboard whilst assisting our members, visitors and our staff with a happy smile.
Do you have 5 years or more experience with a busy Reception desk receiving over 60 calls per day? Are you extremely reliable, of impeccable appearance, have the ability to learn quickly, and pride yourself on an organised, friendly, and accommodating Reception desk? Then this is the position for you!
This is a full time position, this 37.5 hours per week, plus reasonable additional hours, when applicable, which includes our awards night – always a great event to attend!
Based in the southern part of the CBD, this position will provide you with a varied responsibility base, and the autonomy to use your initiative to proactively prioritise and manage your own workload. On a day-to-day basis, your typical routine will be populated with:
- answering a multi-line switchboard,
- member and public interaction,
- data entry,
- assisting our teams with administrative tasks and projects, and
- supporting our finance and education teams with account payable functions.
An understanding of the building and construction industry and/or knowledge of CRM packages would be looked upon favourably, however training would be given to the successful candidate.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
This position requires a proficient front-of-counter Receptionist (strictly no less than 5 years’ experience on a busy front desk), who will enthusiastically promote us, by being the ‘face’ of our Association, and exhibits a sunny and helpful disposition. Your conduct will demonstrate professionalism at all times.
You will demonstrate your passion for great client assistance, be detailed-orientated and take initiative in your work. You will display excellent presentation skills and have confidence in your own abilities.
Your professional demeanour is demonstrated by your efficiency, organisation, and calm, can-do attitude. It is essential that you are reliable, have intermediate computer skills (word, excel and data entry), and can operate autonomously.
Your ability to communicate professionally while maintaining a friendly, approachable disposition at all times, will allow you to comfortably support and work as part of the broader team. This, in turn, enables you to build relations with your colleagues, our members and the general public, and will provide you with work diversity.
