A position has become available for a part time Administration Assistant to join a reputable Residential & Commercial Development & Construction Company in the Western Suburbs.  

Reporting directly to the Company Director, the successful candidate will need to be highly organised and energetic and have outstanding communication skills. 

This is an ideal opportunity for an administratively capable person who has an interest in the construction industry. 

About the role:

Initially the role will be primarily office based as you learn the ins and outs of the business with increasing responsibility.

Brief snippet of duties:

  • Taking client enquiries and booking meetings
  • Assistance with proposals for projects
  • Project profit and loss reports
  • Project scheduling, updates and document control 
  • Email management 
  • Applying for building permits
  • Creating handover packages
  • Accounts payable, and receivable
  • General administration as required 

The key skills required:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in similar role viewed favourably
  • Ability to learn technical processes
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must be computer literate, in particular Microsoft Word and Excel 

Selection Criteria:

They must be able to demonstrate a work history where they are known for being obviously:  

  1. Articulate - able to communicate well verbally and written
  2. Methodical with an eye for detail
  3. Professional approach to work
  4. Quick to learn from a more experienced person
  5. Ability to meet deadlines

The position being offered is 3 days per week subject to successful completion of a trial period.  Office hours are week days 8.30 am to 5.30 pm.

Attractive remuneration will be negotiable depending on experience.
