About the sector

YMCA Children's Programs includes the areas of Early Learning Centres (ELC's) and Outside School Hours Care (OSHC). Core to the YMCA's mission and Vision statement 2020, Children's Programs provides a platform for engagement with children and their families and the ability to develop and nurture children throughout their vital life stages from early childhood into the middle years.
 

About the role

The Customer Service Officer is the face of our organisation and as such it is critical that Customer Service staff display a commitment and belief in the mission of the YMCA. In addition to providing all customers with the highest possible level of service, Customer Service staff will be inclusive and tolerant and will at all times recognise and respect an individual's gender, race, age, culture, ethnicity, class, religion or disability.

The Customer Service Officer is part of the accounts/administration team who provides support to various services and families in the Western, Northern and South Eastern areas of Melbourne. The team works very closely to support one another, support and assist families with account queries and support and assist Managers, Directors and Coordinators.

  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Focus on maintaining, extending and developing specialist areas
     

Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge in the database management software QikKids is essential
  • Comprehensive computer skills and knowledge in Word and Excel
  • Comprehensive understanding of Early Learning Centres and OSHC operations
  • Experience in Children's Programs Administration and/or Business
  • Willingness to oversee Health and Safety in the workplace


Qualifications

Working With Children, Safeguarding Children and Young People Certificate (Completion upon successful applications)
