My client, Australasian Groundwater and Environmental Consultants Pty Ltd (AGE) was established in 1997 and is wholly employee owned and operated. AGE is one of the largest specialist hydrogeological consultancies in Australia, with a strong reputation for high quality work.

AGE is an alternative option to the larger multi-disciplinary engineering companies, being a passionate, employee owned niche consultancy. AGE undertakes interesting and challenging projects, in a quality focused team environment. AGE clients include the Australian and international mining, gas, government and engineering sectors.

AGE is growing and as a result we’re seeking an experienced Administration Assistant to join the Brisbane office. 

 

You

You will be an experienced administrator with advanced Microsoft Word and PDF formatting skills.  You will enjoy contributing to a team and have a strong work ethic. 

Supporting a team of highly focused individuals, you will be the welcoming face of the front reception desk and the first point of contact for incoming calls.  Your professional presentation and exceptional communication skills will be highly valued in this role.

Motivated by delivering consistent and high quality outcomes, you will possess an innate desire to follow tasks through to completion. 

With a mature outlook, you will have good initiative and be able to work autonomously.

Experience using Workflow Max and Xero (including Payroll) would be advantageous.  Previous exposure to Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures would be highly regarded.

 

The Role

This role will provide responsive, efficient support to the consulting team and assist the Office Manager in the day to day running of the workplace.  Remote support for the regional offices and team members located in Newcastle and Townsville will be required from time to time.

In this highly focused work environment, a typical day would include

  • answering all incoming calls;
  • organising staff equipment, consumables and amenities;
  • maintaining an organised office environment to ensure cleanliness and safety;
  • document formatting using Microsoft Word and PDF software;
  • reconciling expenses and data entry;
  • filing and maintenance of electronic files;
  • organising staff travel and meetings; and
  • assisting staff with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) documentation, booking inductions and medicals.

This is a stable, long term opportunity in a growing firm.  Permanent part time hours (approx 32 hours per week) may be considered.
