Who we are:
Westhaven has been a part of Dubbo and the Orana region since 1957, providing employment, transport, respite, recreation, training, accommodation, recreation, socialization, transport, counselling, training and employment opportunities for people with disability to live the life they choose. 
Successful Western NSW Regional Business Award 2017  “Employer of Choice”,” Excellence in business”,  the Gold Rhino 2018 “Dubbo’s most outstanding business”.
Approximately $30 million turnover reinvested into the Dubbo community set to double in the next decade.  The introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and fee for service model, requires diversification of income sources and creation of partnership arrangements with business and other community sectors. Westhaven’s statutory OOHC services are adapting to the NSW Governments major policy reforms known as the Permanency Support Program and Intense Therapeutic Care for children with significant disabilities. The growth requires a strong General Manager to strategically drive long-term efficiencies and enhance management decision making through effective administrative and IT systems.

The role
To support the organisational objectives of enhanced performance of staff and contractors, maximized productivity and efficiency.  Commitment to excellence with an emphasis on training, which drives and supports integrated quality administrative and information technology systems and processes.  Enable agreed business strategies to be implemented and delivered through effective engagement of staff and adoption of shared service support efficiencies that maximize the opportunity to deliver exactly what our internal customers want.  We Expect to develop strategic partnerships with smaller providers to deliver quality service systems across Western NSW.
  
In particular you will be required to:
  • Direct and report workforce planning forecasts and budget implications for the consideration of the Board and recommend major policy changes and developments;
  • Direct the preparation, communication, and execution of the HR & IT operating objectives, plans and programs;
  • Coach and motivate the support services leadership team in the achievement of agreed goals and standards that build improvements in customer service;;
  • Direct and report on analysis against the performance management frameworks.
  • Regularly quantify the capabilities of the organization to meet service requirements of the target group and ensure customers are getting what they want from us,
  • Create and maintain an adaptive and flexible organisation dedicated to supporting and enabling rural people living with a disability to live life the way they choose.
  • Ensure the Quality Assurance systems operation is effective in relation to processes and administrative configuration.
  • Monitor and report compliance and quality assurance metrics on behalf of Westhaven
  • Initiate and develop strategic partnerships to ensure quality service systems are provided to people living with a disability in Western NSW.
  • Facilitate effective communication and engagement between service delivery stakeholders to ensure the identification of service performance issues with stakeholders and delivery of the integration function in line with the required service integration framework and governance framework.
  • Direct, monitor and report on key efficiencies and productivity gains delivered through the centralization of administrative processes across the Westhaven organization.
  • Drive end-to-end service performance against agreed Service Level Agreements ensuring that data is able to be interpreted into performance trends, issues and continuous improvement options. Drive culture of learning and innovation to enable staff to excel.
  
Who you are
  • Tertiary qualified with significant experience at a senior level in all aspects of leading and managing Administration, HR, and IT, to be successful within a human service business.
  • Sound leadership skills of successful shared services model in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Sound leadership in corporate operational excellence, superior communication and coaching skills that ensure successful performance as a senior leader within a Non for Profit.
