About the Council

About the Role

As Records Management Officer, you will be the go-to person within the Council for all things related to record keeping. With your engaging communication style, you will provide training and advice on the efficient use of our electronic record management system, and promote best record keeping practices. With an eye for detail and organisation, you will be responsible for coordinating compliance with Council's business classification scheme, plus establish and monitor electronic disposal processes. Reporting to the Governance and Risk Advisor, you will be in charge of the system administration of Council's recording keeping system.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of three years' experience in a process-driven clerical or administration role. Demonstrated experience in the use of electronic record management systems and the interpretation of records legislation and procedures will be highly favourable. It goes without saying that you are detailed and highly organised with strong time management skills. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders as well as the proven ability to train and advise others.
