Skillset Workforce, along with a well-known and respected organisation specialising in community services, is seeking a passionate individual to join their team. The successful applicant will complete a Certificate III in Business Administration over a 12-month period.
This is a rewarding opportunity to commence a role which focuses on helping others in the community and will provide both on the job experience and study. You will be allocated a dedicated Skillset Workforce Consultant who will support you through your Traineeship and at the successful completion of the role you will graduate with a nationally recognised qualification.
This opportunity is suited to an individual identifying as Indigenous, is driven and hard-working with a desire to pursue a career within the Community Services industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a high level of customer service both face-to-face and over the phone
- Assist with general administration including maintaining files, daily reports, collecting mail, data entry, record keeping and other admin duties for all staff
- Assisting clients who attend the office
- Regular communication between staff and offices to update on client
- Support clients to find appropriate accommodation and housing in public, social, private and Aboriginal housing portfolios where necessary
- Implement WHS, EEO, Aboriginal Cultural appropriateness and respect, LBGQTI and other gender policies that respond to a culturally diverse client cohort
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast paced environment
- Supportive and compassionate
- Eagerness to learn and develop own skills and knowledge
- Committed to the study component of the Traineeship
- Experience in the delivery of quality customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Time management and organisational skills
- Current Drivers Licence
